| Ferragudo Review: A quiet village on the Algarve | | Written by Monk-San on 13 Jan 2005 about a trip in Jun 2003.
| Easy peasy to drive to from Faro airport.
This is a lovely quiet village. You will need a car to get out and about, to places like Lagos and Silves. Have fun stocking up on port (and hen drinking most of it before you go). The area has so much more to offer than the tourist trap of Portimao might lead you to think.
(Don't be out off by the low rating - OK there aren;t any nightclubs and only a handful of restaurants, but that's not what we were looking for when visiting the Algarve). |
