Fiesta Park: Fiesta Park review by Heidi Story |
| Posted 10 August 2007 about a visit in July 2007 | Overall rating: 8.0 |
Fiesta Park apartments are situated at the end of the Cala N Blanes resort, virtually on the coast. This location is far enough away from the resort to be relatively quite but close enough to easily walk to all the restuarants and pubs.
Across the road from the apartments are some steps which lead you directly to the most beautiful (if quite small and can get crowded between 12 and 3) cove which has a small beach but the sea is very shallow and remains so for some distance which is incredible safe for children. The sea is also filled with fish, crabs and occassionally jelly fish.
Whilst staying here make sure you walk to Max's snack bar to watch the sun set, it is a site that will stay with you for longer than your tan.
The apartments themselves are on a complex of only 24 so feels very much like a small communtiy and the pool like your very own. Each apartment looks directly onto the pool so again children are very safe in this area, there is also a large grassy area around the pool for them to play. Also unusual for a complex of this size there are easily enough sun loungers to go around.
There is a small snack bar situated on the complex which although the food is not great will satisfy any hunger, all the staff who work here are very friendly and speak both English and Spanish. An adundance of ice creams for the children are stocked here and it can be difficult to say no!! There is also a pool table which costs 1 euro to play.
The apartments themselves are simple and basic but adequate for those who do not intend to do much cooking whilst on holiday and there is a supermarket less than two minutes walk away for all your essentials.
The two weeks that we where there, there was a mixture of English, Spanish and Germans on the complex and all were friendly.
The only down side is that if you require a cleaner, and change of bedding every other day or so this will not happen, but if you like to be left alone on holiday to enjoy yourself and not worry about when the cleaner will arrive, and want somewhere small and quite I would reccommend Fiesta Park.
