First visit to the Canaries, and we had a lovely week. We were half board, and the food was very nice in the restaurant. Some friends were staying in self-catering accommodation at the same time that we were there, and they came and ate with us two or three times during their stay, as they said the food was so good.
The only real drawback with the place was the location, almost at the top of quite a large hill. Although the walk down the hill was OK, and it was only a few euros to get back by taxi.
We stayed in the apartments on the opposite side of the road to the main complex, and it was very quiet there, the pool was large, and almost exclusive, although VERY cold. The underpass to the main complex is a very good idea, especially if children are amongst the group. (None in ours but it was great for staggering back of an evening!!!).
Some very good entertainment was provided in the bar area on most nights.

I stayed at the flora in oct 1998. this was my first holiday abroad
and i can remember my firt impressions of the flora was excellent
and was looking forward to the week ahead. everywere was very clean, the aparts,reception,pool and bar. the onsite mini market is
very usefull is mentioned in other reviews you don't want to be walking up that hill too often. the bar is excellent value and during
the day they had happy hour 241!!! I wa simpressed with the whole resort-bars/restaurants on the sea front and the beach was nice for 'black sand'. we also found the local bar staff were great and as there was a group of us they ofen brought us free rounds as well as the free shots! there wasn't too many nightclubs to choose from and we finished most (mornings) in Dreams which was normally quiet as it was oct. The weather was superb about 80-85 every day with a nice breeze.
overall a good enjoyable holiday at a better than average accomodation.
