Fontanellas Playa was great - right on the beach, clean, adequately furnished rooms. Perfect italian restaurant under the hotel. The staff were lovely and the buffet breakfast is great. Highly recommended.

Stayed at the Fontanellas Playa in May for a weekend on a self catering basis - me, my partner and our two cousins.
Booked this on the internet and weren't sure what to expect as it was ridiculously cheap!
Two very big one bedroom apartments, very clean, big bathroom and bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space and loads of coathangers!!! Huge lounge area which could have comfortably slept another two people. Included in the price was air conditioning and central heating which we were really glad of as it was absolutely freezing cold outside - the locals said it was the worst April and May they had ever known.
Also free TV with usual Spanish channels but a couple of English ones too eg BBC News, TCM.
The apartments have an outdoor pool, an indoor heated pool, games area, internet access, dining facilities, large lounge bar with entertainment programme. Also the Fontanellas Playa is right on the sea front so great views!
The whole place was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Mainly German guests in these apartments - this doesn't bother me in the slightest as I usually find that if you stay somewhere that is mainly for German guests you get a much better standard of accommodation and service - much better than the dross us English are usually prepared to put up with!
As check out time was midday we asked to keep one of the rooms until 7.30pm as we weren't flying home till about 11pm - this cost us another 30 euros - great as it meant we had all day to do what we liked and didn't have to worry about our cases etc until it was almost time to leave for home.
Can Pastilla is nice and flat so great if you have walking difficulties or have children. The beach is beautiful - very clean and stretches for miles.
Not many English bars but that's not the end of the world is it?
Plenty to keep adults occupied at the beginning of a very cold May but not sure there would be enough to keep kids occupied at this time of the year especially if the weather's bad.
Had a great time at the Fontanellas Playa, would definitely stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
