Very comfortable and well located, the Girasol is a small, well-decorated atrium-type apartment hotel right in the heart of the Plaza del Charco in old Puerto de la Cruz. The description on this site does not do it justice. All rooms have balcomies and views, and the ocean front, with picturesque little fishing boats, is just a couple of blocks away. Everything is within walking distance, including two supermarkets. In 2003, this apartment hotel had a pool on the roof, but since it is not mentioned here, I wonder what they did with it? The bar has very enjoyable live music on weekends and holidays. little mom and pop liquor and grocery shops are dotted around the streets surrounding the hotel. Rates are among the most economical to be found. I highly recommend it. My stay lasted from October 2003 through March 2004 and I plan to return in 2006.
