What a suprise this holiday was, not knowing too much about Slovinia before we went and were a bit aprehensive.
Not so, as the beautiful countryside, lake & hotel were at first view stunning.
Only 1/2 an hour from Ljubljana airport so short transfer time.
The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, and on arrival thought it was 5*as the sheer size and oppulence was at first overpowering.
Our room on the second floor, lake facing, was large enough to have a settee coffee table & chairs, also a large balcony with a table and chairs and a stunning view over the lake.
Now the best part. A new pool area comprising of 4 heatd swimming pools, all bar 1 under cover, 1 Jaccuzi, 1 hot pool and one pool for children, plus free towels.
The food was buffet style ,breakfast & evening meal were the best we have ever had. I would not hesitate to recommend both Golf Hotel & Lake Bled for a quiet & relaxing holiday.
