We stayed here as part of an 8 day tour around Sicily. We arrived a little late in the afternoon and had to leave by 9.00 am, the following morning, so our experience of this hotel is somewhat limited. Having said that we found the rooms very comfortable and clean, all linen was spotless, beds comfortable, plenty of hanging space. The building looks a little like a "Foreign Legion Fort" and when you get into your room, the windows are located behind quite heavy shutters - it all adds to the atmosphere but some people thought they hadn't any windows in their room, until we told them to explore the shutters! Food was very acceptable - we had both Dinner and Breakfast - served on a buffet basis but there was always plenty to go around. Staff were very accommodating and helped us with our understanding of some of the dishes. Since we were not there very long it is difficult to say if the place is convenient for other local delights but it is on a main raod and access is very good. The dustmen turn up around 5.30 am so if your room looks out on and refuse skips keep the shutters locked if you don't want to be woken by an early morning light show. Would recommend the place to anyone.
