Stayed here New Year 2002. Good location but the hotel should be closed down and completely refurbished. The rooms are small, dusty looking and the furniture must date back to when the place was built! We were on the first floor, above the laundry and had to listen to the industrial washing machines ALL NIGHT! Local teenagers use the side street to congregate after the nightclubs have closed and party on til dawn. Idiots doing wheelies in their cars, etc. This appears to be a weekly event and not just at Christmas. The food was extremely bland. Wouldn't recommend staying here at festive time as you have to share table with same people every night. I don't mind sharing but would like freedom of choice. Ended up eating out which cost us more money but at least we got good meals. Nice eating places across the road. Bus stop on the corner. Staff are VERY STAND OFFISH AND RUDE. Can't understand why they are still employed as lots of complaints. We paid a lot of money to stay there because it was new year but wouldn't stay there again, any time of the year!
