we went to Hacienda in january, it was a studio with cooking facilities, 2 single beds but we pushed them together, large wardrobe, and bathroom, quite nice. The only thing we could complain about was, we were on the ground floor, we had no balcony and when we walked outside there was nothing to seperate other peoples apartments from yours, it was just a garden, and there were loads of cockeroaches, so id advise you to get a spray from your chemist called DEATH LACK its brilliant and prevents the little creepy ones getting in.
The pool is very small and if you want a good place to lie in the sun you will have to get up in the morning about 7 am to get a bed because OTHER PEOPLE HOG THE BEDS.
Hacienda is in a IDEAL PLACE for everythink, all the bars [BOBBYS AN BUSBYS, LINEKERS, YATES,] in las americas, all the shops all the resturants and the beach are a 2 minuite walk and in Tenerife your gaurenteed the sun all year round.

Me and 3 mates visited Hacienda in April 2005 and there was absolutly nothing wrong with it. In fact we had a Brilliant time.
We booked with first choice and found Reps to be brilliant and also the staff at the apartments, but beware of the security guard at night he won't tolerate any noise and likes telling people off.
The Apartments were very good and found to be very clean. The balcony's were a good size too. In the whole week we were there we didn't get a single cockroach in our apartment.
Hotel was ideally located right in the middle of the nightlife, great for young people looking for a holiday of drinking and partying.
Overall Tenerife was Brilliant and we'd definately stay at the hacienda Del Sol again!!

I went to the hacienda del sol in july 2003 and there was absolutly nothing wrong with it!!! in fact me and my 6 mates had a brill time. Fair enough we had a bit of a shock when we got there and someone on the coach pointed to what looked like a chinese restaurant from the front but once we walked down the stairs we were very pleasantly suprised.
The hotel was clean, pool was nice (although abit packed at times) and the downstairs bar was cheap and provided a good startin point for our nights out. Yeah the stairs are abit of a problem when your trying get your suitcase up them but i'm sure the whole 10 minutes it takes you won't ruin the rest of your holiday.
We actually thought the hotel was great, brilliant for young people lookin for a holiday of partyin - not really for the older variety but depends what your in to. Right across the road is a brill cafe (full fry up only 2 euros ;-) and the wigan pier bar is a good laugh (great if your from wigan and don't mind gettting well ripped by the drag queen from scholes ;-).
Clubs are good - bobbys, busbys, ministry of sound, cream and rumors all deserve a visit. For nicer beaches go to los christianos about 5 euros in a taxi or if your not lazy like us lot about 20mins walk.
Overall tenerife was brill and if i went back i defo be stoppin at the hacienda del sol, this hotel made our holiday well better. we visited other hotels round us and trust us there sercurity were well worse than our's, put it one way the after party was always back at our hotel. The security arn't that bad we got mates with them and when we got in at night they were always the first to tell us which room was having the best party ;-)
don't listen what everyone says bout this place i think you'll be very pleasantly suprised.
Oh by the way 'the welsh rugby lads' we met from ELY in cardiff were brill!!!!!!

The Hacienda is located only minutes away from the 'famous' veronica strip, which by the way isnt best viewed in the daylight! but if the type of holiday you want is a 'fun' one then the hacienda couldnt be better situated. We found our studio to be fairly small but clean and tidy with a pool view (! instead of the usual back alley!) which again was clean and had a good number of sun loungers (even though most were , er reserved by the usual "not to be moved towels" appearing at some ungodly known hour, even though i understand that this is now NOT ALLOWED!. Yes we did find the odd cockroach but we were in Tenerife! even my UK home is prone to the odd insect. We stayed for 2 weeks and the one and only ONE complaint we had was the 'herd' of youngsters arriving back in the early hours.. seem to recall trying to stay out most of the night but alas just couldnt manage it! Definitley good value for money but now at the grand old age of 33 somewhere a bit more quieter will do next time round!

Just to let you know, I did think that the hotel was ideally situated for nightlife. Although, it was the holiday from hell. I am not as "OLD" as you may think, as I am only 19. This hotel was basically disgusting, and has put me off of going back to Tenerife!
