| Hammamet Review: | | Written by Julia Mills on 31 Jul 2003 about a trip in Oct 2001.
| | Brilliant holiday as long as you are not afraid to say a firm no. Shopping is more relaxing/enjoyable in the fixed price shops for the most part. The beach was amazing the first week - not so pretty the second after a storm! Great places to visit especially if you have an interest in history. My blonde daughter, who was almost 14 at the time, had plenty of stares but no one approached her in any way: mind you, my husband is 6' 3''! My son was 7, also blonde and everyone wanted to talk to him which made me wary at first but soon realised most people were genuinely friendly. Go with an open mind and enjoy. |
