Yes....well........where do you start? I suppose you've gotta go back and blame the brochure we looked at which said nothing about this being more of a motel than a hotel. It is situated on a dual carriageway with the nearest thing being 1 pub (with a walk of death to get there) or, a shopping mall which was around 15 mins walk, again skirting along a highway with no pavement.
The hotel itself is good enough with tennis courts and great pool and good rooms etc., but do NOT book this hotel unless you have a car for the full length of your stay. There is no bus route and you have to depend on taxis all of the time. There is a courtesy bus provided by the hotel but we found it pretty useless except for once when it dropped us in town.
The hotel is nowhere near downtown San Diego and it would take you more than an hour to walk there.
Otherwise......the hotel is OK with a high standard of cleanliness and service and was priced reasonably as well.
