Nice enough hotel, set in a park frequented by the locals, who take walks and have picnics with their families, or just couples. Nice setting, but no where near the main sites, or the fort. Definitely need transport to get to the main sites from the hotel. This was the only down side not being near the sites.
Beautful palace in the park, currently having work done on it, and probably won't be open to the public.
Small lighthouse, beach and rocks with locals fishing.
Supermarket just outside of the park about 30 minute stroll at most. Prices in Arabic.
MacDonalds has arrived in the park, very busy, and they do deliveries. You can sit outside.
Clean and comfortable rooms.
Free safety deposit box in your room.
If you sign for anything on your room you will get an extra tax put on, so try to pay for everythingas you get it (sometimes a little difficult if sunbathing).
Food in the main restaruant is nothing exciting, normal buffett food. Appeared to be available 24/7. This is where you get the tummy bug from, food left on small burners for hours and luke warm. Air conditioning on full blast in restaraunt and lounge/bar area of hotel.
Rooms were very nice, small man made beach in front of hotel, leading to main beach.
On another plus side we arrived as part of tour at about 8.30 in the morning. We were allowed to occupy our rooms at 9.15 even though they were only booked from the afternoon check-in.
