I have stayed at this hotel twice and here are my thoughts on it.
The hotel does a free shuttle service to the airport and back, which is great if you don't feel confident about using taxis in foreign countires.
The check-in is simple and the staff will look after all your luggage etc.
The room was very large and luxurious, on the 6th floor. Usual Holiday Inn perks like mini bar, TV and trouser press. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a bath and shower and hair-dryer. The air conditioning worked and was always set at the right temperature.
The hotel has a swimming pool and shisha bar on the roof that was great for sun-bathing and getting that all important tan. On the first floor there is a bar, night club and 2 restaurants. One restaurant held traditional Arab nights too once a week.
The Hotel also has a gym and a beauty parlour.
The Holiday Inn is situated behind the famous "Al Rigga" street. There are many good restaurants, including Lebanese, Chinese, Indian and Western food. There is a shopping mall in walking distance.
The famous "Wafi" shopping centre and "Wild Wadi" water park are all only a short taxi drive away. (Taxis are very cheap in Dubai)
The Holiday Inn staff are very very helpful, they can organise excursions and nights out. The room service was exceptional and rooms were cleaned every day.
The only thing that I would say was not so good about the hotel was the undesirable "ladies" that frequented the hotel club at night. I would advise Western women to be firm with locals and ignore them when they "proposition" you.
