Iberostar Royal Kenz: Royal Kenz hotel by Roger Watson |
| Posted 19 April 2006 about a visit in September 2005 | Overall rating: 7.0 |
Rooms were spacious and clean ( we took option of superior rooms).
Food was ok but not oodles of choice. in a 2 week break there was a fair bit of repitition. Waiters were very friendly and attentive.
Hotel was ok with plenty of sun loungers. Was a good walk to Marina, which in our view was too far away. Was ok to walk to during day, although approx. 40 mins in heat was rather tiring. Taxis were plentiful, but doing the journey twice a day for 2 weeks would add up to a fair sum of money.
Wasn't too impressed with Tunisia, maybe a different location would have been better ( neareer the port)
Roger

Iberostar Royal Kenz: needs attention by Gina Probert |

We travelled to the Royal kenz last year for a 2 wk holiday arriving late evening we were taken to a room which i can only discribe as the forgotten room.We had paid an upgrade so we could have a double bed and the room looked like a single room. We were told we could not be moved till morning which was a bad start. When we were moved we were put in the only available room near the generators, room was a lot nicer but you could not sit on balcony because it was so noisy. The place itself eg pools and gardens were very nice food was a bit hit and miss at times and they could be cleaner in the restaurant sometimes dirty cutlery and tableclothes were not changed enough. At the end of our first week i got a very bad stomach bug in which i was very sick and could not leave the bedroom for nearly two days i have never had to use the toilet so much.As i started to recover so my husband was laid up. when we were due to leave we overheard people in the foyer saying how they had been ill one lady worse than me they said it was the milk products. i dont think i will be venturing back there in the near future

Iberostar Royal Kenz: Great Place! Great People! by Katie Turley |

What an excellent hotel. I can thoroughly recommend this Gold Hotel, the Reps are brilliant and the Hotel Staff are so kind and courteous.
The room was lovely, clean and very spacious and with a TV so that you didn't have to miss Eastenders!!
We had an excellent waiter who was very attentive to our needs and the buffet was great with lots of variety but you could always get the staples of chips or salad or soup if you weren't feeling adventurous.
The Noddy train stops right outside the gate or there are always taxis going up and down (make sure you confirm the price before-hand).
There was lots of evening entertainment every night but we favoured a quiet drink in one of the bars with friends that we met on the trips each day.
There is so much to see and do in Tunisia that you can't come near to seeing it all in one trip - shame, we'll have to go back!!!!
