We Mum/Dad & 15 year old son booked this apartment online with a company called "FindMeAccom.com" and flights with Easyjet from Newcastle.
Easyjet was great, no problems and no rubbish Plane Food!
Paid £301 for flights
Paid £357 for an apartment for one week.
Arrived 3.00 a.m in ordered Taxi which cost 45 euro
When we got there the check in desk informed us we could not have our rooms for two days and they had arranged alternate rooms at the Sa Sirena just a few metres away and offered a taxi which was not needed as was onlty a few metres away.
We were not happy but agreed to look and judge if alterative okay.
Sa Sirena was great and stayed there two days and even offered to stay all week if that helped the Ibiza Mar.
However we changed after two days to the Ibiza Mar and staff were very helpful. Thge Ibiza Mar is well located but needs a really good clean and is infested with ants.
We visited San Ann Bay 5 years ago and although we agree it has always been a bit cheap and cheerful it represented a low cost break and we knew of a number of good Spanish Tavernas.
The resort has changed and gone a lot more down market with even most of the good Spanish Tavernas resorting to English type food.
The Ibiza Mar was full of English spoiling everybody elses relaxation with the usual Cockney inspired shouting and splashing.
As a last minute low cost hoilday we got what we paid for and proberly wont go back again.
Ther are very few good places to eat except "Soli Sombrare", "Amstadam" and another which I cant remember the name the rest is the usual "Blackpool" type grub like "Taffy Jones" Welsh Pub that serves the quote "Best English Food" Hey Taffy what about Welsh food and I thought you lot didn't like English, see what I mean!
Try and improve San An. Bay. You need to big style!

Hotel:
We arrived early hours of the morning at the ibizamar and the hotel staff were very helpful, and suprisingly quirky for that time of the morning. The hotel manager was really nice - he looked like woody from toy story- he was was mad as well. Always up for a joke. my friend passed out one night and he was really good at helping her.
Cleanliness:
Cleaning staff were ok, if you didn't answer the door within a few seconds they would come straight in the room. But if you were in, they would come back later. They gave us a change of sheets once and we changed the beds ourselves. They gave us clean towels everyday and changed the toilet roll, we were surprised we didn't have to buy our own for a change. Rooms and hotel was generally nice and tidy.
Rooms:
We got a view overlooking the pool and the bay, so I suppose we were quite lucky. Our room was near the stairs but they were at the other side of the hotel, so we didn't hear very much. the doors were quite loud so you heard them shutting all the time. The rooms were fairly large, a big bathroom with shower, bathtub, large vanity mirror, toilet and a bidet. The big bathroom was brill, with four girls in the room, you need space for all the toiletries. And there was plenty of room. The room itslef had a large balcony, tv, microwave. Free air con!!!!
Beach: the beach was about 2 minutes walk away. We went to S'Estanyol beach everyday. The beaches were really clean, just look out for the jelly fish though!
Nightlife:Lots of bars and restuarants around the bay area, so if you didnt fancy the town then there is something for everyone.
We were about a 20 minute walk to the town, there are a lot of pr's hassling you, but dont ignore them, as they do get some good deals in bars. We went to London Bar and got a litre of peach schnappes and a smirnoff ice for 5 euros. Cheap!!! There was a club called soul city which is a must if you love, R n B, Garage, and Hip Hop. Plus it was free!
There were loads of bars along the beach front so plenty to pick from. The pre-party bars like Bar M was slightly overpriced beacuse it was the bar before you got the coach to Manumission.
Reps:
We went with First choice and the rep was brill, got us some good deals on excursions and deals into the clubs. Go to the welcome meeting we got 5 excursions for the price of 4. The waterpark, booze cruise, two entrys (different nights) to eden, and a pool party at cafe mambo. we lost our tickets one night and she replaced them for nothing!

Stayed here twice now,first in 2001 and again this year (2004) real nice spacious rooms music as loud as you like,it can be quite a roudy place at times,try and get a pool side view,cos the other side isnt much of a view at all. 5minute walk to bar M, 10 minute walk into West end.
