| I booked a last minute holiday with my mum to Turkey. We had tried to get an apartment in Marmaris but someone booked it at the same time as us so we lost it and the only place left was the Avlu III in Icmeler. Turns out we were lucky to miss out on the Marmaris apartment.
The Avlu III only has 10 apartments. It has it's own swimming pool which is tiny but the sandy beach is a 2 min from the apartments. The apartments were extremely clean and fairly roomy. Kitchen had sufficent glasses, plates etc for 4 people. Beds were comfy even though they were not actually mattresses but some kind of foam. Each apartment had a balcony that overlooked the pool. There is a small and slightly overpriced bar on site.
The pool is kept immaculately clean by the bloke who works there - his name escapes me. He walks around the pool a fair bit which is a bit irritating if you're sitting on your ground floor balcony having a few vodkas but we ended up counting how many times he'd walk round!
The apartments are fairly easy to miss as they are slightly set back from the road. They are in between a shop which seemed to be always open for essentials and a restaurant/bar - where the staff are fab - called the Blue Fox. We wanted to go back this year but the apartments are all booked up so we're going to Altinkum. The apartments weren't pink either like they showed in the brochure!
The Avlu III & Icmeler are both great and I'd recommend them without hesistation. |
