Iphigenia: See you next year! by Lisa Xx |
| Posted 22 August 2006 about a visit in July 2006 | Overall rating: 8.3 |
Me and my 3 friends stayed here between 26th June 2006 and 11th July 2006. The rooms were very spacious and clean apart from our pets...ANTS!! They were everywhere. In the kitchen area, bathroom, sitting area...they even came to bed with us! It didnt spoil our holiday though, infact we didnt even make a complaint...it did annoy us for the 1st couple of days but then we just thought it was quite funny! We did have 3 cockroaches visit us also!
The pool area was lovely and had the best poolside atmosphere than anywhere elsewhere i've been on holidays to. Everybody was friendly. The bar staff were very laid back. The food was ok. Excellent cocktails for £1 during happy hour and you must try the cocktails in a water melon...blew my head off!!
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going on a 18-30 style holiday and we will definately be gong back next year.
Also, the Escapdes Reps based in the Iphigenia are awesome...great job Lee, Bianca and Hayley...see you soon! xxx

Iphigenia: Excelllent holiday read this for all you need to know! by travelstar |

Iphigenia was a great hotel, the rooms were spacious and clean and the pool was fantastic with a nice little bar that played Red Hot Chilli Peppers and supplied free lilos; the perfect hangover cure. I have been to Ayia Napa a few times now and stayed in 5 different hotels this was definately my favourite although it didn't have the best location out of the ones I visited it had the best poolside atmosphere. And was very close to pizza hut and PETITE PALACE an excellent chinese resteraunt.
Plus they have great towels
If you want to go to the best club its CLUB ICE with amazing music with an excellent dj and the foam party is unmissable. Probably my best night in Ayia Napa.
Another must is Linekers BEACH PARTY I liked it so much i went twice and it is only a weekly event. For a set fee all drink is included for 3 hours and entertainment only suitable for over 18s.
In the day NISSI Beach is the only place to be with a range of watersports and plenty of eye-candy. Remember dark shades to hide the hangover eyes people always look their best here!
ACUNA the potato place is great for a quick snack at the end of the night opening from 6 till the early hours. at the back of the CASTLE CLUB.
However it can be costy to eat in AYIA NAPA. I advise going to the poshest resteraunt you can find, SAGE and the one next to GEORGE and DRAGON were the best. You will find the prices are almost the same as in a pub or bar and the food is far better quality.
The sockets are the same as ours bonus! BUT heres a big tip wherever you stay sockets are limited so if you are a group it will take ages to get ready unless you have extension sockets. Buy them now!
Beware if you drive there are nutters who do u-turns in the middle of the main road and signals dont exist. In a taxi a guy did this started heading right for us in a van scary stuff.

Iphigenia: Loved it! by Liz Kelway |
| Posted 22 January 2003 | Overall rating: 8.0 |
Well there was 5 of us, 3 lads (aged 26, 27 and 28) and 2 girls (aged 21 and 23)
We stayed at the Iphigenia Appartments in June 2002 for two weeks. We booked fairly last minute and it was the only accommodation available. Off we went a little worried as it was an Escapades property, we hadn't had good experience with an Escapades property in Gran Canaria!
We arrived and from that moment on loved it, it was full of young people, a great pool and to top it off great rooms! The pool was big and there was a great pool bar which served food snacks and cocktails!! With £1 cocktails on an evening during happy hour - definitely recommend!! Great grass area too to sunbath if the pool got a bit packed. It was the main Escapades hotel, so a lot of the entertainment was held there.
The only downside which wasn't a problem at all to us, was the fact that the nightlife is a bit of a walk, well saying that am only talking 15 minutes. Although after a week or so did find a quicker way by going right from the hotel not left, which will make sense if you visit!!
A short taxi ride from the main beach, Nissi Beach, which is so the PLACE TO GO.... DJs on the beach, and fantastic bars!! maybe not the place to go with a banging head. Cost us £1 each to get to the beach, which seems kinda standard looking at other reviews!! There are nearer beaches but not half as cool.
All in all loved it and if I visited Ayia Napa would definitely stay at Iphigenia!!
