Jable Bermudas: JABLE BERMUDA by Keri Burridge |
| Posted 22 July 2005 about a visit in February 2005 | |
Our Apartment was massive, the biggest we have stayed in. I think they were going through a renovation at the time, there was a brand new 4 piece bathroom suite in, kitchen was brand new, the beds and settees were not new, but extremley clean. There are 2 sides of the Jable Bermudas. It is like a little village if you like, different path ways leading to diffrenet apartments with the pool and bar in the middle. We were on the other side of the road to this overlooking the reception. The pool did not have a shallow end for children, which i did not think was very good. Location was great, you had the beach which was 5 minute walk and either side of you were bars and restaurants.
We had a fantastic time and would go back to Lanzarote again and probably to these apartments.

Jable Bermudas: Jable review July 02 by Mark Walker |
| Posted 03 December 2002 | |
 Jable Pool Area |
| My Partner and I had a 2 week stay here at the begining of July 02. We enjoyed our stay here but must admit we didnt spend to much time in the complex due to the beach being so close. The apartments are situated back from the main beach road on a small rise on one side and what was locally known as cardiac hill on the other.
Cardiac Hill was situated on the corner of "Titos" karaoke palace which was a very good night out staff keep you entertained aswell as the good and the bad of the singers. the easier walk and the one I would recommend was at the other end (Towards Macdonalds) up a slight hill.
The apartments had a good bar serving snacks until all hours, 6 pool tables and arcade machines to keep the kids amused.
The pool is a touch on the small side and there is not a great deal of room for sun loungers/sun bathing, but the beach is literally a 5 minute stroll out of the complex.
The beach was excellent very clean and tidy, water was shallow and warm so ok for kids. it did get quite crowded at times but there are lots and lots of loungers/parasol for hire for the day at a reasonable price or there is a lot of open space if you want ot take your own, but be careful the sand gets very very hot.....
Outside of reception there is a very small bar that offers local drinks and live music for a taste of Lanzarote culture. Opposite reception next to the tennis courts there is a fantastic little restaurant that is well priced and offers something for everyone. Out of reception and to the right (the way without cardiac hill) you will find a English run pub named the rendezvous which is handy for your first or last drink of the evening, there is also 2 supermarkets 2 chinese restaurants, an Irish bar/restaurant and a carvery on your way round the bend down on to the main drag.
Here if you head to the left (If your facing the beach) you will find all sorts of restaurants, shops, pubs and clubs this is the main resort centre and is where all the nightlife is situated.
Heading right at the bottom of the bank you are heading towards the old town, you head along until you reach a dead end then you have to turn right and go up the hill where you will find the "Biosphere" a large shopping mall (Plenty of goods to be had cheaply here) if you then follow the road round and down the bank you will find the old town and harbour, here there are lots of little winding streets to explore where you will find lots of little tevernas and fish restaurants serving frsh seafood that has been caught by the fisherman that morning.
The weather when we were there was very hot and clear skies, we found that first thing in the morning it would be quite cloudy and overcast but then by about 10/11am the sun would be out and very hot, It does tend to get very windy on an evening so the temperature does drop at night so if you feel the cold and especially when youve caught the sun you might want something warm for the night time.
The Jable has had some mixed comments passed about it but we had no problems what so ever with the accomodation, others that were staying said the rooms were shabby and that there was sightings of cockroaches in the rooms, but ours was fine, on questioning hte rep who was excellent we found that the Jable was going through renovation and that due to the size of the complex they were only able to do it a few apartments at a time, hence some rooms good some rooms poor, she confirmed ours had recently been renovated and that we had one of the better rooms as some hadnt been touched since the complex was built !!!
So it seems that its a case of luck when it comes to wether you have a good room or not though we found that all rooms should be completed ready for summer 2003.
All in All had a pleasent stay but there were others that didnt so are you feeling lucky ????
