| Kalamaki Review: | | Written by Barzey on 14 Jul 2004 about a trip in May 1996.
| | Kalamaki is really nice, rather quiet compared to Laganas down the road. The beach runs all the way into Laganas and if you are there at the right time of year you will clearly see the Logerhead Turtles in shallow water awaiting to go in and lay their eggs on the beach. The beach is obviously a conservation area because of this and there are volunteers to fence off the Turtle nests and move them out of danger if necessary. But there is no inconveinience to visitors as the beach is huge (about 2 mile long). If you want it livelier then stroll down to Laganas for the night. We have been to Zante twice now and would love to return when we can. |
