We stayed at the Karbel Hotel for a week (2 couples). We were a little confused between the Karbel hotels. The Karbel Beach is a sister hotel and the Karbel Sun was next door but has nothing to do with the Karbel Hotel.
Our room wasn’t too small, it was the correct size (although the balcony was small but we only used it for drying clothes and towels etc.) The rooms were very clean. All rooms had a small fridge which fits one of those large bottles of water. The hotel grounds were very pretty with trees and flowers. The pool area was very clean and big enough for all the guests; with enough sun beds (we got 4 together at 10:30!!). The maids, waiters, bartenders and reception workers were all very friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help you. We did the pub quiz and bingo night at the hotel; although we didn’t win we all had a great time and a good laugh. They also had a BBQ and Turkish night we never attended them but there was always a great turnout. We stayed B&B which was a choice of hams, cheeses, egg, fruit, breads and cakes as well as fruit juices and hot drinks. We also ate overlooking the pool area with a fantastic view of the mountains. There is a large variety of daytime snacks at the pool bar; they are delicious and freshly made. We all had a great time and will defiantly go back. We highly recommend this hotel and the resort!!

Stayed at this Hotel in June 2005 as well as August 2005, the room in the June stay was a bit tatty but the room in the August stay was excellent.
Staff are really friendly and a good laugh - especially Johnny behind the bar!
All in all, a very good Hotel, rooms cleaned regularly and so to - the pool by a George Clooney look alike! strangely nicknamed George!!
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone - though not 5 Star, it is honest and clean and the staff are brill!!
Do try the food in the hotel restuarant in the evening you will be pleasantly surprised, a good platefull and extremely tasty and also good value.

This is probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and hope to go back for the fourth time this year. There is a brand new reception building built in 2002 which is not shown even in some of this years brochures.The accomodation although nothing fancy is very clean and the food is great. BUT the best thing about the Karbel sun is their staff. Never have we been made to feel so welcome. If you are looking for a super relaxing holiday in a beautiful resort Where the people are friendly, helpful, without being pushy, sunny skies,
cooling pools. cheap food and drinks this is the place for you. And if Os, Hakki, Mehmet or any of the other staff read We'll have 2 pints of EFFES thanks.
JULY 2003 Just got back today this hotel gets better every year.
JULY 2005 Well we went back again and although there has been a few changes in the staff we certainly were not disappointed This hotel just keeps getting better and better. A word of warning though the prices in Turkey have gone up quite a bit its still a lot cheaper than Spain etc. and much much friendlier.

After almost 2 years of persuading my family to try Turkey they gave in. They absolutely loved Olu Deniz and were amazed at the standards of the Karbel, so much so that they are re booking for this summer.
