The hotel is located in Cala Egos which is a small suburb of Cala D'or. The area is quiet, with a few tourist shops, plenty of places to eat out and a superb beach (Es Forti's). We booked a 2 bed apartment with half board, and although the hotel is only 3 star the rooms were a nice size and fitted all 4 of us in comfortably. There were 2 spacious balconies overlooking the lovely gardens and the volleyball court. The staff on reception, especially the 2 English ladies, were very helpful, the 2 pools were clean and there were sunbeds aplenty, although difficult to beat the dawn towel claiming enthusiasts (Saddos!!).
On the down side, the entertainment was appalling, kids club unimaginative, no bar snacks if not 'all inclusive' and the food was repetitive and not of a very high standard. In fact we ate out on a few occasions and were glad that we had an apartment were we could self cater some of the time. The beds were uncomfortable, with saggy mattresses, musty old pillows and unfitted sheets which were not changed very often. We still had a great time and for the price we paid it was a good holiday. If you dont expect too much from the hotel you wont have any problems. Taxis are cheap and we hired cars on 2 occasions. The hotel does not provide hairdryers in the rooms. You have to loan them from reception. Most of the guests in the hotel are German, with Dutch and Brits being the majority of the rest.
