Having been in florida for a week previously and having spent a few days in another hotel in International Drive and then spending a few days in the keys we were driving back and anticipating staying at the same hotel in Orlando as we had on the first few days of the vacation. On the way howevr we stopped and picked up one of the numerous discount books at a Mcdonalds Restaurant. Not being very happy with our original hotel we saw an offer of the La Quinta for $35 per night. We gave them a call and after being told there was no room available at that rate we did manage to negotiate a rate of $44.
It was the best decision we made the whole trip. The rooms looked newly refurbished and the hotel was spotless.
The hotel is situated at a fantastic location about 30 seconds walk to International Drive on a slightly quieter stretch but which is still very convenient to all locations.
I would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to anybody going to Orlando (families, couples or singles) but i would reccommend ringing the hotel direct to get their best offer - provided of course you havent found a good price from the so call discount hotel sites.
