The bed is extremely small for two people to sleep in, and every time we shower the water temperature and pressure changes suddenly. We have not been sleeping well at all out of the four nights we spent here, it is definitely not a three/ four star hotel it claims to be. After notifying the hotel reception about the issue with the shower, we were reassured that someone would come during the day(our third day here today) to fix it. However, after coming back from a night out, we still found the same problem with the shower. The staff also said that all the beds in this hotel are the same size, regardless of the room type, and if we which to upgrade to a bigger room, we will have to pay more.
The breakfast items and layout are exactly the same everyday, which starts our days here in a rather depressing way, we really didn't feel like having any more breakfast here after the second day of staying in here.
Furthermore, the door in the bathroom is a Health and Safety hazzard, it is extremely narrow to get in/ out. I already have two bruises from entering and exiting the bathroom. The kettle's interior is extremely dirty, after the water gets boiled, the water comes out with white flakes. We have told the staff about this, and we were told that there's no other spare kettles in the hotel and we should just ask the kitchen for hot water when we need it. This is totally unacceptable and we are definitely not paying almost 100 Pounds a night for such a poor quality of service and facility.
After the complaint was received by the hotel, they sounded so defensive in the letter then turned around and accused us of being in the wrong for asking for refund!
We are never going back to this hotel even if DIY travel is paying for the full accommodation for us to stay there.
