Las Piramides: Would go Back by Elaine Thomas |
| Posted 13 August 2005 about a visit in June 2005 | Overall rating: 9.3 |
Las Piramides was as clean as a new pin, spacious reception and good staff. The only downfall which I found rediculous was the pool area didn't open until 9.30 so people started queing before 9am to get a sunbed and if you didn't que chances were you wouldn't get one and if you wanted an umberella aswell you had no chance! The pool area was small in comparison with other 4* hotels but you are right across from the beach which at the time of our stay unfortunately was full of jelly fish. Food was excellent, breakfast same as anywhere I suppose but plenty of choice at dinner. Entertainment was bland and nothing during the daytime. Drinks were slightly expensive but as was the rest of the resort in comparison with other parts of Spain. You were OK if you liked larger plenty of cheap basic bars offering cut price pints. I hate the stuff a large brandy & coke was approx £3. The hotel was at the further end of the resort about 10 - 15mins stroll into the marina area where most of the nicer bars were. A big resort full of high rise but somehow it was nothing like Benidom - which I disliked having been there for only 1 day. The trip to Gibraltar was over marketed in my opinion, I've been now and have no desire to return. Only benefit is cheap fags and booze but only allowed to bring 1 of each and perfume shops everywhere. Sounds like I didn't enjoy myself but I did, thought it was a lovely resort and an excellent hotel, like anything it depends what your looking for. I will definitely go back to this resort and possibly to this hotel.

| 30 Jul 2007 by Mary Read |
We are planning to travel with a 16 yrs old girl who is in a wheelchair. Do you have disabled facilities within the hotel such as disabled toilets and adequate access to bathroom facilites within the bedrooms? >> Answer this question | | | | >> | Answer 1 by Astrid (diy Admin) (30 Jul)
Dear Mary
unfortunately this hotel is not suitable for wheelchair users as it doesn't have disabled rooms.
However the Sol Principe Hotel has a disabled room. If you need further help please contact booking@diytravel.co.uk or call 020 7183 7183
