I booked an 'accommodation allocated on arrival' trip to Gran Canaria in 1999 and was placed in Las Tartanas. I went out of my way to get placed here again in 2001 and 2003, each time having a great stay.
The place was clean, peaceful with friendly reception staff, lovely gardens, great bungalow apartments and is central to facilities. Naturally, being a hot climate, I saw some cockroaches, but they were outside, not inside.
I'm looking forward to going back there again in December 2007.

We had a pretty good holiday here in September 2001. It was shown on the TV show 'Holidays from Hell' a while before we went but it really wasn't that bad at all. I don't think it deserved to be on the programme. The appartments have everything you need, are close to the kasbah for shopping and nightlife and aren't too far from the beach. The only bad thing really were the cockroaches....not for the faint hearted!!
