I have been to Istanbul a number of times and the Legend hotel is always my hotel of choice. Whenever anybody tells me thay are hoping to visit Istanbul I give the Legend's phone number.
The rooms are clean and comfortable (and warm! a definite must if visiting in Winter!) The staff are very friendly and helpful and they speak Englishş there is a well stocked bar in the foyer and prices are reasonable.
The big bonus with staying at the Legend is that you are within walking distance of the Bosphorus, the Grand Bazaar, The Topkapı palace, The Blue Mosque, the Ayia Sofia and lots more. And finally to cap it all they do free airport transfers, what more could a tourist ask for.
