Myself and my pal Joan stayed here on a short break in September. We booked it ourselves on the internet.
Our taxi from the airport cost 15 euros - not bad eh? When we got to the hotel we were booked in straight away - very pleasant reception staff. Check out time is about 12 noon but as we weren't flying till late that night we kept the room on until 8pm for 20 euros extra.
Our room was OK - but you can't expect luxury in a 3 star hotel. If there had been air conditioning it would have made a world of difference as it was so hot, however you can hire a fan from the reception, not to mention, kettle, hair dryer, iron, fridge. Mind you I've got no idea where were would have plugged all these appliances in as there is only 1 socket in the room which is in the bathroom - fine for drying your hair but not much else. The wires for the TV were hanging out of the wall so not useable.
As we were on a half board basis I can tell you that the food was all right - not fantastic but edible. There was a very good range both at breakfast and dinner - something to suit everyone and for the price we paid (£73 each for 3 nights we couldn't complain). There were also specials on each night, eg Paella.
The hotel itself is fine - the furniture is tired and could do with being replaced however I must say that there is an army of cleaners who work very hard and the hotel is absolutely spotless.
There is a large pool area but as we didn't go down to it can't comment.
There is a large bar and lounge area - always quiet and the bar closes at 1am. There is an evening entertainment programme but we didn't stay for it - think its mainly bingo, ballroom dancing, etc.
Can Pastilla itself is a great place to stay - I've been there twice now and think its ideal for a break - it's only a few minutes away from Palma by local bus (great bus service and cheap) and you can walk all the way along to Arenal if you want or there is a little train if you prefer. The whole area is pretty flat - so great if you have walking difficulties or have kids with you. The resort is usually quiet so no hooligans.
All in all we had a good time at the Leo and would be quite happy to go back there again.

I stayed in this hotel for a week in September 2003. For a cheap hotel it does its best. It is ideally situated as it is one street away from the beach. The accommodation is dated and could do with some refurbishment but I would not let that put you off. The rooms at the back of the hotel can be noisy as you can see the airport runway from the balcony. There is also a busy road which runs behind the hotel. The restaurant is very good with a buffet type service and each evening there is a type of carvery. Overall the food was excellent and if you go hungry it is your own fault. The hotel caters for all nationalities and I experienced no problems with staff or guests. I would not say that this was holiday heaven or hell but if you are looking for a cheap holiday break in quiet resort then you cannot go far wrong.
