Levante Lux: levante lux, good base to explore benidorm by Paul Starmore |
| Posted 01 June 2005 about a visit in April 2005 | Overall rating: 9.0 |
When we got to benidorm we were quite surprised at its size.
it was much bigger than expected.
Check in at the apartments was quick and easy.
Be prepared to hand over £40 breakage deposit.
On entering our apartment we were very pleased by its size and the standard of cleanliness.
We thought it was very well equipped.
Before we left the uk a mate told me it was like blackpool....he was right.
But he forgot to mention that is was bigger, better, cheaper, cleaner with great weather.
we checked some of the local bars and restaurants and found the food and drink to be a lot cheaper than we expected.
Beer from 1 euro a pint (68p) and food from a english fry-up from 1 euro to steak and chips from 4 euro.
We were regulars in the "white horse",you can take the kids in and the entertainment is good, open till 2am, happy hour from 7.30pm to 9.30pm,buy 1 get 1 free.
British food is in abundance in benidorm so the chance of tummy upsets for the young and old alike is next to none.
Look for "plus" the local supermarket, here you buy buy all the stuff you need if you decide to "eat in "
You may have been advised by your tour operator that building work is taking place near to the apartments, that is true.
It was a little noisy when we where there, but building work can be seen all round the resort.
By the looks of it benidorm is growing at a very fast pace.
There are lots to see in benidorm, literally hundreds of bars and eating places.
The location of the apartments puts you in the very heart of the town but not too close to get all the noise because this is a town where most of the bars never close.
If you are going on a drinking holiday with the lads then this is for you, taking the kids ? they will love it , even if you want just a quite relaxing break then get it booked ,benidorm is the place for you.
On the outkirts of benidorm is a new designer outlet called "la marina",you can get there by catching the number 12 bus, which will drop you right outside for only 90 cents (61p).
Also situated in benidorm is "terramitica park" , this is a giant theme park and will be enjoyed by the adults as well as the kids.
Just a few hundred yards away from the park is rather a large aquatic centre called "mundomar" this will keep the kids happy, you will see syncronised swimming with dolphins (not everyday you see that in the uk)
You will also find an outdoor market on wednesdays and sundays, here you will find all the goodies to take home for the family.
at the market you will also see lots of beggars, just go round them and don't fall for their sob story, while your feeling sorry for them their mate will be picking your pocket.
Also a big word of warning against going near anyone with an upturned cardboard box with what looks like 3 potatoe husks on it,it is a variation on "find the lady".
stay well clear, you will not win any money off him, also his mates will take your wallet or purse without you knowing, the local police are on constant lookout for these guys but they are pro's and vanish in seconds.
Just a warning for when you come to change your pounds into euro,on our time there we saw as little as 1.29 euro to the pound , to as much as 1.45 to the pound,be careful of some that charge commision.
The best place we found was the indoor market, with a "what you see is what you get " way of exchanging.
Benidorm is the place to go if you want a good cheap holiday.
The weather is great(we went in may and it was hot, 28 degrees plus).
In the 14 days we were there,we spent less money than we would get rid of in 14 days in sunny "skegness"
Well to sum up benidorm i would have to describe as suitable for all ages, whatever you want to do ,you can do it there.
any questions just drop me an e-mail and i will do my best to answer them.

Levante Lux: friendly basic accomodation by Joey |
| Posted 23 April 2004 | |
have been to these apartments twice now and have always found them to be a clean and comfortable base to explore the delights of Bemidorm. Staff are very helpful and friendly although the comment about the delays at the bar are true. There isnt really any entertainment worth mentioning but with the hundreds of bars in Benidorm why limit yourself in staying at the hotel every night! would stay at these apartments again.

Levante Lux: First Class by Brian Lewis 52 |

Situated on the corner of Avd. de Roma/Estocolmo these apartments are quite new and have 14 floors. Reception and bar staff very friendly. 40 pound deposit required on arrival. 2 lifts. Entry to apartment room is by electronic card. Rooms are very clean, towels changed twice and room cleaned once during our one week stay. There is a 4 ring cooker with grill and oven plus a toaster and electric kettle ( only one socket though). Balcony is quite large. Cleaning staff friendly. Entertainment in bar on certain nights. Overall a very pleasant apartment block, would book these apartments again.

Levante Lux: xmas/new year by Bri |
| Posted 06 January 2003 | Overall rating: 10.0 |
i have visited benidorm many times, this being the first time for christmas and new year. What a pleasant surprise. I booked through Eclipse holidays, who were very helpful and recommended the Levante Lux.
The apartments are very clean and the staff friendly and helpful, quiet yet near enough to Levante beach and all the night life. I would recommend these apartments to singles and families alike. I hope to return next year.
