Stayed 3 nights in March 2004. Mayan hut-style
rooms with colonial verandahs in two-storey units of eight around swimming pools.
Very attractive setting right at the gates of the Uxmal archaeological site ( fascinating history and good sound & light show ). Gardens full of exotic birds ( feathered )
Very laid back atmosphere - horizontal. Restaurant/bar also in Mayan style hut. Good food served with a beaming, golden-toothed smile by very attractive girls in traditional costume.
No attempt at activities or entertainment, but a nice, relaxing place with a friendly feel. You need early nights because the birds all start squawking at 5.00am
