Absolutely not

I will never be visting here again...turned up at the appartments at 13:00 (BEARING IN MIND WE HAD BEEN TRAVELLING SINCE 6AM) and there was no one to let us in...we rang the emergency number and no one answered...finally after an hour of trying different numbers managed to get through to a arsey tour rep who informed us that no one was coming till 16:00 as they were having lunch- (he also told us that this was an on going problem for the last year!) When someone finally arrived (3hrs later) we were then told that they had over booked and we had to take a taxi to another appartment! Hated every minute of holiday...locals very rude and pushy...and location was like blackpool...very tacky..unless you like this sort of thing...Avoid at all costs!!

We stayed at Los Nardos apartments in June 2007. The apartments are very basic but i suppose you are only sleeping in them and can't expect the Ritz for the price we paid. Upon arrival at the apartments, instead of getting a "Hello welcome to Gran Canaria" we were greeted by a grumpy Spaniard who was telling us about a girl who got raped the previous week. On arrival on the Saturday night it was a complete nightmare. There is a car park outside the apartments and the locals insisted on sitting in their cars til the early hours of the morning playing their music at full volume.

The apartment itself is extremely basic, a hob and a fridge but its better than nothing. The maids wake you up around 1pm so its not too early.The pool is quite small but ok if you are just wanting a dip.

The location was the best part about the apartments, with the Plaza right accross the road and the beach only a few steps away. Its an excellent location.

Overall, I would recommend Los Nardos for those who are on a very tight budget and don't spend all day in the apartments.
