| After visiting Magaluf in June 2004, four friends and myself stayed at the Hotel Sol Guadalupe.
*Timing*
At the time of Euro 2004 in June everywhere was run really well, the police had a grip of what was going on in the main strip and we did not know of any fights or violence which is always a plus! Everyone was more or less in the party mood and was relaxed atmosphere. May kicks off the high and energetic season and peaks in august also when the temperature does. September closes of the high season with a bang - closing parties a plenty.
*Things to do*
Magaluf in general is a really nice place to go - the beaches are clean, plenty of shops and the nightlife cant be faulted! Plenty of nightlife to keep any hardcore partier busy!there are also lots of restaurants also catering for a wide range of tastes. Being with the younger crowds myself I didnt look for family places but in the place of palma nova it is slightly quiter and not as hectic as magaluf so that would be able to cater for them.
*Cost*
Price wise magaluf is fantastic value. With all the majorcan taxes being dropped the holiday makers benefit from this. Just because its cheap doesnt mean its of a low standard. Quite the opposite in fact. Younger crowds would probably find it easier to go self catering as its not too expensive eating out and means you can suit yourselves at eating times.
I have no hesitation in going back to Magaluf because it provides everything i look for in a holiday, chilled by day, party at night all at a reasonable price! |
