| Mahon Review: | | Written by Gink on 05 Nov 2004 about a trip in Sep 2004.
| | The capital of Menorca although not large (some 25,000 inhabitants) has an indoor market, an underground supermarket (Spar) and an outdoor market on Saturdays as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. The bus station has services to many local beaches and the marina and the port area is breathtakingly beautiful. I have known Mahon for the best part of 40 years and worked there so I know most of it fairly well and for those of you who are interested in history, I can thoroughly recommend the museum which is housed in a beautiful building. |
