Upon my arrival, I was greeted by member of staff who offered to carry our luggage onto the first floor, in which he claimed there was a standard charge of 75 lev. I found this outrageous but there was no way out of it, or we would have been forced to leave the hotel.
As we entered the room there was a distinct smell of sewage, which lasted throughtout our stay. We complained several times, and were told the problem would be sorted. The rooms were of reasonable size, but had quite clearly not been cleaned for quite a while. There were stains on the walls, and ripped carpets. We walked into the bathroom and were almost sick to find semen and condom wrappings scattered across the sink. The hotel reception did apologise and claimed the rooms had yet to be cleaned.
We tried to ignore our experience so far, and went to relax by the pool. The pool seemed quite well kept, and the surrounding areas also. This being said it was almost impossible to enter the pool, it was so cold. Not a single one of our friends went in the pool more than twice, it was very frustrating.
The room continued to be a mess, the pool area was a no go area. There was what can only be described as an infestation of ants around the reception area, had we have travelled with young children this would have been unbearable.
I could go on, although my only firm advice would be to not go to this place! It was one of the worst fortnights of my life, I thought prior to entering I had got a good deal!!
