In May 2005 we spent 2 weeks at Marina Palace, the apts are exremely nice we where on the 1st floor with a view of the gardens and the pool.
The sea shore is all rock in this area but you can take the local bus into San Antonio or go the other way, there are some lovley beaches not too far away. It is nice and quiete in Port Des Torrent, yet only a stones through from the much livlier San Antonio.

There are plenty of bars serving good food- the Chinese is very good, but go early as it gets very busy late and they struggle to get everyone served.
The nearest bar to Marina Palace is The Gold Crown, we found it expensive with slow service but they do have live music with Vini 2 nights a week and there's karikroki and quize night which are ok.they show sport on the big screen tv if theres something special on.

The Marina Palace has a restaurant on site but it does not actualy belong to the complex, the food is awfull the lamb chops smelt more like old sheep, but the staff are very nice and they do some entertainment most nights some good some bad.

If you follow the path right out of the gate by the restaurant you can call at the next complex snack bar the do good snacks and you can sit and watch the sea. A little furthure on is the Hippy Bar, it is an old windmill which has been converted into a bar , they play music by Kamaris which is very chill out stuff, i sat one afternoon with a beer just listening to the music and watching the paragliders, so relaxing, at night it realy comes alive with big D Js coming in with extra sound equipement and the young ones come from all over, im 58 and we didn't feel out of place the youngsters where great.
San Antonio has some nice shops and lots of boat trips go from there, the glass bottom Nero was good, it stopped off at the natural aquariam, well worth a visit. There is a supermarket situated under Marina Palace run by a local couple, they are brilliant and they stock everything, lovley warm fresh rolls in the morning it has to be one of the best complex supermarkets I have been to and opens early till midnight.
So far you will be wondering why I entitled this review My view about Ibiza shattered when yes I had a wonderfull holiday well................

HERE IS THE WARNING TO EVERYONE TRAVELLING THROUGH IBIZA AIRPORT, WATCH YOUR HANDBAGS AND WALLETS! IT IS BECOMING REALY BAD FOR THEFTS.
Our experience was that getting to the airport early we were sat with our luggage, too early to check in when 3 young men sat on seats at the back of us asked if we spoke french, my head only slightly moved in there direction , my husband said no and they left, we got up to walk to the other end of the airport only to find they had slipped my handbag off the end of the seat, containing passports, tickets money, digital camera, camcorder. So I had then to get hold of a policeman who spoke english, no chance! I did evenyualy go to the My Travel desk who we where flying with and Steve took me to the police and did all the translating, The polce issued us with a report that got us through passport control at both ends and My Travel issued copy tickets.

I did claim all my loses through my own house hold insureance as the travel one didnt cover enough for each camera, we have now got over this ordeal but it ruined my holiday and I now have a bum bag for my things. I'm really careful now and won't talk to anyone in an airport, as I dont trust anyone now and I wont be going back to Ibiza, as these guys are really good at it and there are no visible police watching for this kind of thing but they know its going on.

I hope anyone travelling to Ibiza finds this review helpfull.
