We read the reviews about this and were confronted with a varied response which was cause for some concern, however once we got there we found that these fears were unfounded. OK so there were a couple of drunk East Europeans shouting at the receptionist but apart from that there were no further disturbances.
We had a twin room which works for us as a couple and it was large and airy. It looked into an inner courtyard but that was alright too. The bathroom was equally spacious with a large shower.
The facilities in the hotel are very good though you have to travel down to the sea. The pools are well laid out and easily accessed. The salt water pool was too cold but there was always the beach. Beds were not a problem, probably the time of year.
We tried all the restaurants, except the 19th hole, and they were good value for money. Breakfast was enormous. We were on a B&B basis but signed for everything, drinks as well, which cost us $800 for the 8 nights we were there.
Took the free shuttle into town twice and had a couple of lovely evening. Taxis are not that expensive but make sure that you agree a price when entering.We were tossed out on the side of the road by one when he tried to change the price, but not a problem there was another nearby that took us for the previously agreed price. If you are traveling from the airport the taxis will charge you over the odds but you can negotiate.
The only problems we had were that the sauna was not working but they halved our access costs because of this and the shuttle to the airport when we were charged but the other couple were not which we did not realize at the time.
We had a lovely romantic 2nd honeymoon after only three months
