| Marmaris Travel Guide: Excellant Family Holiday !
| | Written by Si Hopper on 18 Apr 2006 about a trip in May 2005. Trip was for a family on holiday. Si Hopper would definitely visit again.
| Marmaris nightlife | | | There are many bars like Sharas in Marmaris, just get out there and find them ! The people of turkey are a joy , they work long hours for very little reward but you will NEVER hear them complain ! Go to Turkey you will love it ! |
Marmaris restaurants | | | Eating out is very reasonable for a family of 4 a typical meal and lots of local lager will set you back 70tl ( £30 ). Our favourate was Sharas bar in the Armutalan area which is 400 metres from the beach or 5 mins in taxi. The staff there are very friendly and full of fun, Alfie Moon and Batman are the stars of the show. Does anyone have Sharas e-mail address who has been there before ? |
Marmaris day trips | | | Once in Marmaris there is plenty to see and do. From lazy days on many different boat trips like the mud baths and historic caves, Cleopatra's Island or scuber diving just to name a few ! Or if you fancy you can go on jeep safarie, very bumpy and you get sprayed with lots of water by your guides ! |
Marmaris History and Culture | | | Marmaris is ideal for familys, couples or singles ! There really is something for everyone. Set down from the mountains on the beautiful turkish coast line about 2 hours 20 mins from Dalaman Airport. |
Getting around Marmaris | | Getting around Marmaris by the Dolimus is the cheap option at only 1tl is great value . Or if you fancy a bit of a frieght go by taxi, the drivers are wild sometimes ! But watch out because after dark the tarrif goes on double time, and you can get ripped off. |
