We have just returned from a week at the Maspolomas Oasis Club.
The accommodation is fine – I’ve stayed in better, but I have also stayed in much worse! The complex was originally self catering, and therefore there are still the facilities in each apartment. I would imagine that this would be useful for families with younger children, but we only used the fridge.
The complex is now all inclusive, and this worked well for us, as I was on holiday too and did not intend cooking. The food is edible, and often quite pleasant, but very repetitive. There are always chips on the menu, and always a good selection of salads, but some of the other dishes really had to be tasted. The food was plentiful, and frequently replenished, and therefore always hot.
The entertainment leaves a lot to be desired, unless you are under 10 years of age. Most of the clientele were Germans while we were there, and although the animation guy is very talented and speaks many different languages we did feel that everything was geared in their direction.
The bar closed every night at 11pm which we found unbelievable. Even when it seamed the whole resort were at the bar having a good time, they would still close everything up.
We soon learnt to stock pile your drinks from about 10pm onwards, and stay sitting at your table until the small hours – everyone else seemed to.
Our room overlooked the bar and swimming pool, and so was in the centre of everything. We soon learnt the disadvantage of this as the cleaners would come to start clearing everything up at about 6.30am, including move all the sunbeds to sweep under them. They were very noisy, and did not appear to have any consideration for those of us still sleeping. Having said that, the whole complex was very clean and we only saw 2 cockroaches in the whole week.

This holiday was cheap and cheerful. We only paid for 3 star, and that’s what we got.
No real complaints. I would go back, but perhaps request a room away from the pool and bar area.

went here for a week with the wife, no kids this time, bliss ! haha wasnt quite sure what to expect as i couldnt find reviews about this place anywhere and my local travel agents hadnt even heard of it. was pleasantly surprised by this small but clean and peacefully accomadation. if a quiet lazy holiday in the sun is what u want i would reccomend this place. food wasnt exactly al-e-carte but it was good enuff for me.
beach is only a 20 min walk where u will find the famous sand dunes and some other sights that u might want too cover your eyes up if you know what i mean !
playa de ingles is only a short walk away or 2 quid in a taxi where you find more lively nightlife.
next door u will find the green oasis complex where if your discreet, you can easily mingle in and use the amenities there aswell! what can they do, throw u out at worst but lifes a bitch sometimes eh lol.
will be back here one day
