Add photo | We have visited Mastichari several times over the last 6 years and are going back this August. People ask what happens there and we reply "Absolutely nothing". If its discos and nightlife you want it isn't the place for you, but if you want a holiday where its peaceful, the people are friendly, there are good restaurants and a great beach, this IS for you. The sunset from this side of the island is impressive and from our favourite restaurant, Tasty Palace, uninterupted (fabulous restaurant, shame about the name!) There are hire cars readily available, we recommend Mastichari Travel in the centre of the village, and there is a fairly good bus service into Kos town or taxis are usually available near the harbour where you can pick up a ferry to the nereby island of Kalymnos if you fancy a change of scene. But I must admit we spend most of our days just "chilling" on the beach. |
