Mediterranea Plaza: Good, but not that good ! by John Rawlin |

I picked this hotel for it's location and I thought it was a good price for a 4 star, however I would question what makes it a 4 star, the comb, the tooth brush and the shaving razor where the only difference I noticed. The room was clean with safe and mini bar but the decor was stuck in the 70's. The bar was sparce and small and seats where hard, there was no lounge so we took drinks back to our room. The room we were in was very noisy from outside, people would come out of the clubs, pubs etc and shout and sing from 2am until about 6am, the main road was busy and noisy full time, if we had been there longer than the 2 nights I would have demanded another room. The roof was a nice place to sit with good views of the castle, at night it took on a new look. The gym up there was also good. Alicante is a great city with plenty to do and see, not mant Brits about, they tend to carry on to Benidorm.
