Mediterranee Hotel: WORST HOTEL EVER by 303 403 |
| Posted 03 September 2008 about a visit in August 2008 | Overall rating: 2.1 |
Starting on things that were wrong with the room, the shower was broken when i got there and i had to ask twice for them to fix it.
There was no shower curtain. It took them 12 days to fix the tv and it still didnt really work. Air con was leaking into room.
The staff:
The cleaners didnt change the towls or bedding, you could tell they only turned them over as they was still make up on the pillows.
Had no toilet rolls you had to ask the cleaner to give you 1 then she went stroppy. Staff behind the desk never smiled and always groned when you asked for you key. The swiming pool is far to deep for children im 5 ft 9 and in the shallow end it was up to my kneck.
I would not recomend this hotel at all the worst i have ever been to. room 303 and 403

Mediterranee Hotel: Superb in every way by Evie Palmer-Jones |

We moved here after walking out of the studio we booked with Olympic Holidays
(see review for Alamis and avoid).
We were in room 811, which is on the top floor of the block at the rear of the gardens (well away from the main road). The views from the balcony were stunning, across the bay one way, over to Kefalonia another, and views over the nearby hills in yet another.
The Hotel staff were everything you could ask, helpful, friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was kept immaculate and there were always enough sun beds (yes even in August).
The location is on the main road and is about 5 minutes away from the beach.
The resort itself is fairly busy, with plenty of good restaurants. Take the trouble to find the Olive Tree for first rate local food, not the tourist Greek food you find in the main street. Plenty of amusements in the resort but do hire a car for a couple of days - well worth the effort.
