Mediterraneo: Basic base by Linda Compton |
| Posted 18 July 2005 about a visit in April 2001 | Overall rating: 7.5 |
The resort of Santa Eulalia cannot be beaten - it is one of those resorts where 'real people' live.
The Mediterraneo was very basic but a friendly hotel - inhabited when we went by mainly elderly British old biddies who glared at our son when he acted like a child - which he was (still is) - but as a base it can't be critisised for the money. The rooms were clean and functional, the staff very friendly, the pool VERY cold.
It was a short walk to the beach but on the doorstep was the legendary road of restaurants.
I wouldn't choose to go back the the Mediterraneo but that's cos the world is too small and we don't go back to the same place very often. If you are looking for a clean base in S Eulalia then choose this hotel - if you are looking for kids clubs or a raucous night life then this isn't the spot for you.
