Just returned from a superb long weekend staying at this hotel. Booked over internet and made own flight arrangements, and having checked this website for other reviews, was not disappointed. In fact hotel exceeded expectations.
Only downsides were it is on the very busy main road, which during the week is noisy, and I do agree with another reviewer about side road to hotel being rather sleazy. Our room overlooked the side, and the view was of a very large, disused, empty swimming pool opposite, which was full of rubbish. However, rooms on the side do get the evening sun whereas all the front rooms were in the shade.
Didn`t find that the bar prices were expensive, in fact, maybe as we were two women on our own, our gins were large to the extreme. After pointing out that our first g and t's had been drowned with tonic, the waiter brought the bottle of gin to our table, which was half full, and left it with us to help ourselves! He finally poured the remains of the bottle into our glasses. There was no extra charge on our bill!
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and the buffet breakfasts were superb - there was anything anyone could possibly want.
Rather a long walk in the heat into centre of Palma, but taxis outside the hotel cost approx 4 euros each way.
Situation of hotel couldn`t be beaten - Palma Marina in front, views of Cathedral across the bay. Not many Hotels in what is after all a City, could be in such a relaxed, scenic position.
Food, decor, ambiance, atmosphere and (luckily) weather were all great and I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend this hotel for a weekend break. I don`t think we could have chosen any better elsewhere. I will certainly be returning.
