My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel in March 2006.

I rang the hotel a few days prior to arrival to request a room with a walk-in shower and was told that it would cost 10euro extra per couple per night. This was no problem for us and we were delighted as this put us on the executive floor which was floor 8. The room was heavenly, one of the best I have ever stayed in. Cleanliness was 100% top quality as was the service. The staff were so helpful with any query and there was always someone at hand, with fluent english.

The buffet breakfast took over a lot of the restaurant as there was so much variety, from cheeses, breads, pastry's, fruit, a hot counter and omlette's made to order, definately would keep you going until lunch-time. We did not eat at night time as my husband has a plain appitite and the menu didn't suit him.

The hotel is ideal for couples alone, or with children who would be looking for a relaxing/sight-seeing weekend and its proximity was a short walk away from the beautiful castle district, it is also very near all public transport modes (which are very cheap) The hotel also has a nice reasonable priced shop stocking the usual keep sakes.

The only negative thing I would say about the hotel, is that the pool and gym area is quite old, and could badly do with a make-over and some modernisation as the toilet area was antique. The bar is an open area and usually with costumers stopping for a drink before dinner or a trip to the opera, but nice and relaxing.
