The hotel is in a lovely location just outside the not so lovely town of Rochdale!
We were attending a wedding and the reception was held at the Hotel and was catered well.
The rooms are spacious but, due to the wedding and the fact we needed to leave promptly on the next day, we did not get to use the spa. Other guests who did said it was small but well appointed.
I must say that breakfast was dissapointing in that it was "mass produced" with slabs of solid scrambeled eggs, dried out fried eggs and under cooked sausages on display.
A couple of the bar staff could do with more training shown by the fact that one young man did not know how to make a Pimms and a young lady did not know what Worcester sauce was and that it was needed for a Bloody Maru!
Overall, a good stay and reasonable value. If I was in the area again I would consider staying a night or two.
