My wife and I stayed here in 1994. I bought a surprise package through Virgin Holidays for our 30th wedding anniversary. It is a superb hotel, with excellent facilities, and is placed in the heart of Kowloon, within walking distance of the Ladies Market, and the Night Market. Buses stop almost opposite, for the Star ferry to Hong Kong Island. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and although one should only regard any hotel as just a roof over one's head for the duration of one's stay, The Metropole has just that bit extra to make you want to stay around for a while. The breakfast buffet is to die for !!
