Metropolitan: Fantastic Hotel by Alison Poole |
| Posted 12 March 2003 | Overall rating: 10.0 |
We stayed at the Metropolitan in April 2002 for a week. It is a fantastic hotel with great facilities and extremely helpful & friendly staff. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable & well equipped. It is situated close to downtown Toronto and we managed to walk everywhere, although it is also close to a few subway stations. We stayed on a room only basis, and although used the bar which was very laid back, we did not eat at either of the hotels restaurants so I can't comment on the food. I would definitely recommend both this hotel and Toronto for a break. Had a fantastic time & would love to back again someday. Only one word of warning, if you go between November and May (as we did) the city is not that busy & also weather is fairly unpredictable, we got sunburnt on Saturday & by Monday it was snowing! Whilst in Toronto you must visit the Toronto islands, really beautiful views of the city & really peaceful.
