This was my third visit over a period of 8 years. Cala llonga is a small resort and I loved it for my first 2 visits. The Hippy Market was an enjoyable way of spending an evening but sadly now as it got so big it moved to an other resort and now all that is left is the "Artesian Market" which is nothing more than a dozen small stalls in the bar-b-que area of a bar.
The Montemar are still clean though basic. The walk up hill to the apartment is not suitable for the infirm or even unfit!!!
Entertainment is basic, even amaturish, but the children in the complex seemed to enjoy it.
I have visited in May twice and June once and May is very quiet. There is a good selection of restaurants/cafes and food is very reasonably priced. There are only a few bars and no real nightlife, so this is a good choice for families and the more mature traveller.
I found the people very nice and accomodating.

I found this comlpex really nice considering it was only a 2star. We went at the end of sep 03, the weather wasn't great but we still enjoyed our selfs. the staff were great and were especially great with the kids. The entertainment wasn't so great eveything was starting to wind down as it was the end of the season. But they did put on a mini disco for the kids and we had about five shows in the fortnight we were there, and the rest was karaoke and quiz nights. The steps to our apartment all together counted to forty nine, which wasn't as bad as some people had to walk up. the apartments were basic and were really clean. We had a tv and could get two english channels the rest were spanish. But your on holiday so who wants to watch tv. The maid service was ok the came every day and left plenty of toliet rolls and clean towels every second day, and the beds were changed once every week. Alot of people have comlained about the hill you have to climb, it isn't that bad but if you have walking disablities I wouldn't recomend this apartment. Cala llonga is very small town and the people there are really nice. I will go back and I would even stay at the montemar again.
