My boyfriend & I stayed here early May '04 and it is a gorgeous hotel. The rooms are very big and very comfortable. Our room had a view overlooking the canal behind the hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night during our stay and the food was delicious, if a little pricey but that is to be expected of a 5-star hotel. The concierge was extremely helpful providing details of various excursions & a map of Amsterdam in fact all the staff were very friendly. The hotel is a 5-min walk from Centraal Station and is a great base for exploring Amsterdam.
