Nazar Studio: Enjoyed it! by Chris Mulligan |
| Posted 24 July 2007 about a visit in June 2007 | Overall rating: 9.1 |
After many visits to Yalikavak(lovely resort) decided to try pastures new. Wise choice, though more hustle & bustle enjoyed every moment, so much so returning September to Nazar again. We always meet up with our friends from Wales & they have booked to see us again.Same dates, same hotel.

Nazar Studio: You can't put into words to discribe the fantastic time we had by Sarah Panter |
| Posted 18 August 2006 about a visit in August 2006 | Overall rating: 9.9 |
Even though the rooms are pretty basic and thats only because the kitchen are outside.
The rest of the hotel or as the call it otel so clean and tidy the food is brilliant and staff are polite, friendly, and most of all helpful, they dress in casual clothes
i.e shorts and teeshirt in the day but shirts and ties in the evening so it makes me feel as though you are at home in a sense because they like to join in the activaties even though they are working.
The cleaners do a really good job in making sure that rooms are tidied every day if you want them to, but they also make the room look inviting by making swans or shapes out of your towels.
The food is fantastic the breakfast consisted of either turkish continental right down to full english and none of which you could not complain about.
Night entertainment could be a bit better as most people have seen it all before but apart from that you booze was great.
The only thing I would comment on is the fact that the photo of the place is very old and it does not give it any justice to the place its self so if anyone who reads this review I would highly recommend you stay here we have booked up to come back next year it was so good
so many thanks to the Nazar Studios see you next year

Nazar Studio: NAZAR HOTEL, THE BEST IN ALTINKUM!! by Karen Molla |
| Posted 01 August 2006 about a visit in June 2005 | Overall rating: 10.0 |
Nazar Hotel in Altinkum is fantastic. It is like home from home and the staff are so friendly. They will do anthing for you, nothing is to much trouble.
My Turkish husband whom i met in Nazar in July 2002 worked there for over 8 years. We married in Turkey on 8th October 2004 and we are now settled in sunny England. (If you've been to Nazar in the past you wil remember my hubby as Rambo!! (Ramazan his real name!!)
Id recommend Nazar Hotel to everyone as its totally spotless, the food is really nice and the staff are really welcoming and friendly. Once you've been once your guaranteed to be tearful to leave and you wil definately be booking to go back. My family and i have been to Nazar many times since July 02 and Ramazan and I are both going back there next month on holiday to see family and friends. OF COURSE WERE STAYING AT NAZAR, WHERE ELSE!! Nazar is THE place to stay in Altinkum!!!!
A great place for a meal in Altinkum if you fancied a change from the hotel food is The Golf restaurant, a 2min walk from the hotel. It is an english restaurant, no hassle whats so ever, the staff are lovely and the food is absolutely fantastic. (Id recommend the Ottoman special) Give it a try!!

(UPDATED TO RATE HOTEL )
Mikey, I do appreciate what you say when you compare Turkey with Portugal or Spain - in fact Portugal is my favourite place of all, I've been going there for over 30 years, since I was 14.
The thing is, Turkey is still relatively new to the holiday business compared to not only Portugal, but most European/Med countries, and the price of a holiday in Turkey reflects this. Our 2 weeks in Turkey in June/July cost us £209 each. In Portugal, we would have paid around £600 each.
The difference in these prices meant we were able to 'eat out' during our holiday for each and every meal - three times per day (AND snacks in between). Good heavens, we came back to the UK with most of our spending money, despite having two teenage sons bleeding us dry AND wanting (and having their way) to buy their wardrobe of 'moody' designer clothes for the next year!
To all those going to The Nazar: A friendly, clean hotel where the staff can't do enough for you. The food is second to none compared to all the other restaurants. Yes, the token kitchen is on the balcony (it does in fact have a hot tap), but the chances are that you'll only ever use it to boil the kettle (if at all)! The all important fridge is in the room.
I'll probably never go back to Turkey again, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world
Mikey, you ought to try Tunisia - the most awful place in the world to holiday!
Regards,
Judy

Nazar Studio: Going home! by Lindsay Walton |
| Posted 31 March 2006 about a visit in May 2005 | Overall rating: 9.4 |
I have never been to a more friendlier place. We have stopped at the Nazzar twice now and I would recomend it to anyone traveling as a family, as a couple, in a big group, or even alone because they accomodate anyone with pleasure. The rooms are a little basic but offer everything you need. The food and service is second to none, and as for location I dont think you could be in a better position to access all amenities. For me it feels like im going home when im stopping at the Nazzar and always have a tear when its time to leave, I dont think I could ever have a better holiday again.

Nazar Studio: Try the best! by Ayse - Bebek |
| Posted 30 August 2005 about a visit in September 2004 | Overall rating: 10.0 |
Nazar is a fantastic hotel were the staff will bend over backward to make you feel welcome and will do anything for you...
The accomodation is very clean. Cleaning staff speak no English but are so friendly and can never give you enough smiles.
Entertainment on the Thursday nights is a definate "must see". If you are up for a real laugh you have to go!!! Belly dancing, Cowboys, Huseyin's Dwarf Dancing and even Ahmet as Michael Jackson pays a visit. It is an excellent night for people od all ages!!!
If it is a first time in Turkey, Nazar Hotel should be the first choice. Staff will look after you if you need help with anything....
Didim market is only up the road so you only need to jump on dolmus. If anything, its the experience!
Locals are all very friendly, sometimes a little too friendly but you wont be bothered once you tell them "no!" and a few turkish words some locals can teach you will help!
The best thing is round about half 6 when your getting ready for night time, the sun begins to set. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the scene!
It is beautiful! Dont forget the mosqueto spray!

Nazar Studio: Nazar - Excellent holiday by Mandy 2 |
| Posted 17 August 2005 about a visit in June 2005 | Overall rating: 9.8 |
This was our second visit to the Nazar. Yet again we had an excellent time. The bar staff are more then friendly and love to help and entertain you. We obviously like it here because we have booked up to go yet again, next year. The rooms are small but adequate, they are very clean and the maids do a very good job. Whilst there this year we celebrated 2 birthdays, and the hotel did an excellent job of putting up decorations and getting us the birthday cakes - no charge to us.
The meals in the hotel are very good and reasonably priced. The only down side I would say would be the price of soft drinks - like all places dearer then alcoholic drinks - a problem if you're a child, or an adult who doesnt like Efes!
Would definately recommend the Nazar, central to the resort but away from the noise. Cant fail to have a good time here.

| Posted 24 August 2004 about a visit in May 2005 | Overall rating: 8.0 |
This was my first visit to Turkey and I am already dying to get back!!!!!!!! Myself, my friend Lorna and my son Robert went to the Nazar for a week in July and had a great time!!!!! Rooms are pretty basic but it didn't bother us as we were never in anyway!!! The staff in the nazar are great and all really friendly, went clubbing a few nights with the guys and had a good laugh!!!! The Turkish guys dance so much better than the scottish I have to say!!! haha!!! Went to the karaoke night on the thursday too and that was really good, Ahmed was fab as michael jackson and Rambos belly dancing looked so good that me and my friend have started mastering the art too!!!! We couldn't have asked for a better holiday as we done so much, the waterpark was amazing and the beaches are really beautiful too. Not really expensive there either so that was good for a last minute holiday!!!! My friend is buying property in Altinkum next year so that will be great to go over when we want!!!!! Met a lot of really nice people from all over the country too so hope to see them again some day!!! Melek (Angel) x x x
