Superb location to base yourself in Barcelona, easy access from airport to catalunya square (3.90 euros at time of writing), bus terminates here, then 3 minute walk downhill to Santa Anna Strret.
Be careful late at night (after midnight) in the Las Ramblas area as it is notorious for muggers especially in the small lanes off the main roads.
Take the tourist bus (24 euros for 2 days) you can hop on & off at will.
